AGTI PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT
Growth and healing occur naturally when we pay attention to self and other,
explore and accept our internal and external processes. When we know and own
the various aspects of our self we can move into genuine intimate contact with
another person, place or thing.

- To provide gestalt differing programs to both professionals and non-professionals
- To deepen participant’s whole person awareness through emphasizingprofessional, interpersonal and personal development.
- To enhance and expand each professional’s therapeutic skill sets and
- life practices utilizing gestalt theory, philosophy and experiences.
- To develop and experience a co-created learning community which encourages
- and supports each participant to live a dynamic and full life, while learning to
- encourage others in personal, professional and community settings to also live fully.

The Appalachian Gestalt Therapy Institute (AGTI) is one of over 100 training centers around the world and the only center of itskind in Western North Carolina. AGTI's Goals are:To provide training for professionals and personal growth opportunities/experiences for non-professionals To deepen participant's whole person awareness through emphasizing interpersonal relationships and personal growth. Appalachian Gestalt Therapy Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.6575. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Appalachian Gestalt Therapy Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.
AGTI is the hosting group for the Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy --- An International Community Southeast USA regional conference.
