August 1, 2023 Covid Policy Update:
​FOR ALL IN PERSON TRAINING SESSIONS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The Appalchian Gestalt Therapy Institute will require proof of  the following COVID vaccinations:  1. Original one or two injection series and 2. A minimum of any one booster following the original series. All vaccinations must be completed no later than 2 weeks prior to the first in perswon meeting.  Masks are currently optional at in person trainings.  This may be revised based on community infection rate.

Summer Intensive In Gestalt Therapy is 
POSTPONED until 2024.

AGTI Intensive Training Program in Gestalt Therapy    
                                             

This program introduces participants to Gestalt Therapy Theory and practices which will enhance their existing therapy practice and/or deepen personal growth by emphasizing whole person awareness. This training is designed in a three year cycle plus an extended enrollment designed to deepen their mastery of Gestalt psychotherapy practice and professional development. Individuals can enroll at any stage and complete the training over the course of three years. Both established professionals and students are encouraged to apply.

First Year Training Program

The first year training is designed to offer participants an introduction to the core concepts of Gestalt Therapy. The Gestalt philosophy, theory and methods will be presented through readings, discussion, experiential exercises, personal growth work and learning practicums.

The goals of this training are to:
  • Teach the fundamental theory, concepts and core values of Gestalt Therapy.
  • Enhance and expand participants existing therapy skills using the Gestalt approach.
  • Increase self awareness, personal presence and the ability to engage with others personally and professionally in an authentic way.

Second and Third Year Training Program

Building on the foundation set during year one, the second and third year deepen the students foundation in Gestalt Therapy theory and practice, with increasing focus on clinical applications and professional growth opportunities.

Deeper and Wider - Beyond the third year
A continuation of professional development and mastery of Gestalt Therapy within the AGTI community.

Costs and Tuition

COST OF PROGRAM IS  $2400 in person only.  Early Bird Cost is  $2200.00 if paid by September 1, 2023.

TUITION IS DUE BY: 9-10-2023. (payment plans can be arranged).  $100 nonrefundable deposit must accompany the registration form and will be applied to tuition.

Continuing Education Hours

The AGTI training program is eligible for up to 45 NBCC clock hours per year in person. The Appalachian Gestalt Therapy Institute has been approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.6575.  Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.  Appalachian Gestalt Therapy Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.

Training Dates, Times and Locations 

New Training Sessions begin September, 2023. Saturdays, 10-:00 am -4:00 pm.  New participants will be admitted, however, previous education and training is required.  If previous training  has not been with AGTI, you must interview with Nicholas Emmanuel prior to acceptance into the program.
